What do you farm?
We grow a variety of vegetables, fruits and flowers on 2.5 acres in Quincy
What is the mission of your farm?
At Five Foot Farm we work to make the town of Quincy, California a healthy and vibrant place by growing fresh, local produce that nourishes both the local community and the land it’s grown on. Through our farming practices we support a healthy farm ecosystem by building soil life, providing habitat and encouraging biodiversity. We have fun, we work hard and we enjoy the journey of learning to grow good food.
On what kinds of products will you feature the "Plumas Grown" logo?
We'll use the Plumas Grown logo at our farm stand, on our website, and for our retail outlets, which include Quincy Natural Foods, the High Altitude Harvest CSA and Longboard's Bar and Grill
What if any sustainable growing practices do you use on your farm?
We're all about sustainable and ecological growing practices! We use cover crops, compost and certified organic amendments to increase soil fertility. We're developing perennial plantings to create habitat for beneficial insects.
