Bike Basket Growers
Farmers: Vanessa Vasquez and Greg Willard
Location: Quincy
What do you farm?
We sustainably grow veggies, herbs, hops, flowers and quail eggs. This year we are focusing on culinary herbs, greens, beets, leeks, tomatillos, unusual peppers and lots of pretty sunflowers.
What is the mission of your farm?
Our mission is to fuel our bodies and our community with delicious, nutritious produce. We hope to inspire others to explore the flavors of local food while exploring this beautiful, wild planet we live on. Get out and ride! Yeehaw!
On what kinds of products will you feature the "Plumas Grown" logo?
Our veggies, herbs, flowers and quail eggs.
What if any sustainable growing practices do you use on your farm?
At the farm we use drip irrigation and timers to save on water. We are experimenting with different cover crops like clover and mulches.
In our nursery operation, we use recycled pots where possible. We are not "Certified Organic", but we do grow organically.
What is the URL of your farm's website or business Facebook page?

Is there anything else you would like us to know about your farm?
We are new at this and learning as we go. Here we go!
